Wheel drive kit

This wheel drive outputs 60Nm of force on the wheel. It can steer any boat up to 8000kg (17,000 lbs.). It can practically steer any boat as long as the wheel turns lightly enough.

This wheel drive includes everything you need to install it. The wheel ring is 250 mm in diameter and needs 30 mm of clearance. It supports 4, 5, 6, and 8-spoked wheels. The spokes can be 10-20 mm. If this does not fit your scenario, I can make a custom fit.

It is powered with a strong DC motor.

With this package you get a ready-to-go autopilot and do not need to purchase parts separately. Optionally, but highly recommended, is purchasing the remote separately.

The belt length can be bought in various lengths. The table below shows the distance between the center of the wheel to the center of the motor shaft for a given belt length. If you want to be able to put the belt over your wheel without disassembly, make sure to buy the belt length twice the wheel diameter + 50 mm.

Upon order, pleace specify the following in your order comments:

• Number of wheel spokes and spoke diameter
• Desired belt length. Provide me the distance from the desired center of wheel to center of motor shaft. motor housing is 75mm in diameter.
• Motor RPM. For boats with up to 5 wheel revolutions lock I suggest 58RPM, if more, I suggest 100.

Dimensions:

The wheel ring has an outer diameter of 242mm and inner diameter of 207m and is 24mm thick. 
The U bolts holding the ring to the helm are 4mm 316 stainless steel. They can fit  spokes with a diamter of 10 to 26mm
Motor housing including clutch is 233mm with a diamter of 62mm
Motor housing brackets are 120x20x86mm using 8mm bolts or screws
